The black currant is a woody shrub grown for its piquant berries. Bunches of small, glossy black fruit develop along the stems in the summer and can be harvested by hand or by machine. The fruit is rich in vitamin C, various other nutrients, phytochemicals and antioxidants. It can be eaten raw, but most often is cooked and used in dishes such as jams and jellies. We grow almost all of the fruit that goes into our products and, what we don't grow, we pick in the woods. Nothing gets sprayed. We grow everything as organically as we can. We don't use any preservatives so what we sell to you is as healthy and wholesome as we can make it. Enjoy! Ingredients: Black Currants, Sugar, Water, Pectin, Citric Acid
We organically grow or pick wild nearly all the fruit in our jams, jellies, and salsas. We use our grandmothers recipes, made safer and often better than the original. We ship to anywhere in the United States and encourage inquires for wholesale and fundraiser pricing. We are happy to create custom gifts and welcome unusual requests.
