72 days. Open polinated Heirloom. Indeterm. Rich flavor that makes a most excellent salsa or canned tomato. Also terrific for snacking and salads. The plants are large and healthy and very disease resistant. Loads of brown/red plum tomatoes grow in long trusses and hold well on the vine. They are very crack resistant and blemish free. A very reliable producer.
Germinated at 94%.
|Lifecycle:||1 (0: N/A, 1: annual, 2: perennial, 3: biennial)|
|Soil:||Adaptable. Tomatoes need phosphorous, potasium and calcium more than nitrogen. Bonemeal is the perfect fertilizer. Too much nitrogen causes excessive plant growth and fewer, later fruits.|
|Propagation / Germination:||Start indoors 5 to 6 weeks before last frost. Keep soil lightly moist, not wet. Room temperature (60 to 85 degrees) is fine, but do best at 77 degrees.|
|Water:||Water weekly if necessary. Tomayoes appreciate a deep mulch, but wait until soil has warmed and plants are growing rapidly.|
