At one time our farm was a conventional dairy operation. When we bought it in 2006 the land was rented for conventional corn, soybean and wheat farming. We are in the process of converting it to an organic fruit tree and berry farm.
Currently we have five acres of organic blueberries and less than a 1/4 acre of strawberries. Our long term plan includes raspberries, apples, Asian pears, an artisan bakery and cider mill.
One of the most unique things about our farm is that it is an employee owned enterprise. Instead of the one owner and many employees business model our business is owned by the people who work in it. The co-owners make democratic decisions about the business and share equally in the profits. We are always looking for folks who want to be part of our co-operative farm.
