BlackSheep Enterprises

Welcome to Black Sheep Enterprises Farm and CSA. We specialize in organic Wheatgrass, petgrass, seasonal vegetables, culinary flowers, an orchard, and herbs.

BlackSheep Enterprises has long felt that for many people the membership fees were just too high, especially in our area. Our CSA costs only $360. * You are not required to work on the farm. We feel very strongly that all people who work for us should be paid a fair wage. It's just simple social justice to us. We do offer activities throughout the season for our members and look forward to meeting everyone right on the farm. Some activities are just for members and some are offered to members at a reduced rate. Check out our calendar on our website for more information. *Most CSA's offer a box of whatever is ready at the time. But what if you don't like tomatos? Here you will come to the farm on Fridays and pick out $20 worth of products each week for 18 weeks (June 14th, 2013 through October 11, 2013). If you want more you can pick out more at the wholesale price.

Black Sheep Enterprises was established in 1986 and the farm operation at the Jefferson site in 2010. For many years Les and Pat have helped other small and medium size farms become profitable as well as have experience with large scale production specialty agriculture. We have combined our knowledge in agronomy and horticulture, what our grandfathers and fathers taught us, and now look forward to serving you personally here in southeastern Wisconsin. We look forward to having you continue to "Come Grow With Us".

We were disappointed to find that the negative review that was posted earlier turned out to be correct. The name BlackSheep is, unfortunately, an accurate description of their enterprises.

Never had spaghetti squash or banana squash before, Les stopped at our house and told us about them. So we decided to try them. It was the best thing we ever did, our family loves them.... [more]
