Tapping of the Maples has begun

Well folks, spring is peaking around the corner for us here in the Midwest.  This gives me a glimmer of hope that our Michigan winter is coming to an end.  With a few days above 45 degrees I decided it's time to tap some trees and bring in our first few gallons of sap to kick off the syrup season.  Most of the folks around here have not yet begun to tap, but since I only have a few trees and my syrup making is limited to a few gallons a year, I'm going to take advantage of every little bit I can get.

Wish me luck...
