The greatest fun we have when vending our gourds at farm markets in Belleville and Swansea, IL is giving folks some information about gourds.  We also enjoy telling some folks about them at fairs and festivals and the Midwestern Herb and Garden Show each Febrary inside the mall in Mt. Vernon, IL.

Some history is that the gourd is actually the oldest plant in North America.  This naturally helps us when vending at farm markets as we grow the gourds and make some decorative items that are both functional and art pieces that can be used indoors as ornaments and decorations and bowls, or outdoors as birdhouses, birdfeeders, and decorative art.  So works both ways.  What fun we have!!!!
