I created this blog to offer insight into healthy eating. Thinking of food as medicine and not just a meal. I love to eat and when food taste good I feel more satisfied. I have learned over the years that too much salt and sugar ruins the taste of food and I now really enjoy the complex flavors of many simple foods with nothing added, like winter squash. The goal is to report my eating habits on a regular basis and encourage you to chime in with what you are doing as well.
Today for breakfast I had an orange, oatmeal with steamed kale, small dap of real butter and a few drops of maple syrup.
