It is deer season and it's amazing to say, but I am still canning. I am making the last batch of zuchinni relish this week, canning up the saurkraut and freezing the last of the Savoy Cabbage.
Opening deer hunting last weekend, I made a new recipe that was suppose to be a pumpkin cheesecake bar, but I substituted squash for the pumpkin. Excellent! The reason, pumpkins just didn't do well this year and I have about five little pissers to cook up. Squash did very well and is a perfect substitute.
My next entry will be both recipes of the squash bar and the zuchinni relish.
