As we start selling our sweet corn today we really miss Uncle Charlie. The customers are already asking about him. There comes a time when we all must stop. We could never get Uncle Charlie to just relax and chat with customers. He just had to help sort and bag their corn. Fortunately he knows himself well enough to stay at home in Cincinnati.
Above all, we want him well and we would always worry he was trying to do too much. We wish he could just relax in a chair and chat with customers, but that's not Uncle Charlie. When there is work to be done he believes he needs to lead the way.
So to retire at 82 for the second time is quite an honor. We all miss him very much, but are thankful he is still well and can continue to tell his wonderful farm stories.
Thank you Uncle Charlie, for being the great person and Uncle that you are. We love you and value your being a great part of our family!
