Lambing season

Lambing 2009 is over. The youngest lambs will turn 1 month old on Sunday. They have already more than doubled in size! The ewes were all sheared last week and their fleece has been sklirted and is ready to be sent off to the fiber mills. We will have the Scottish Blackface fleece made into rug warp and the Shetland will go for roving and yarn. I am trying out a new local mill this year and can't wait for my fiber to get back. As soon as we get back this cold wet weather, great for worms, we can relax into the routine of summer.
