Autumn is here - Markets are closing.....

Well folks, it's that time once again.   Autumn, ooops sorry that's the Englishman in me - I guess it is more commonly known as Fall over here, anyway no matter which term you prefer, it's here.   YEAH I LOVE the gloomy, wet weather - again, being English, also helps a tad!   Sadly, the downside to this terrific and Blessed Season is that many, many local Northern California Farmer's Markets are now closed (or closing) down until the treurn of Springtime.

Here in Northern California the Red Bluff (downtown Washington Street) Maket and the River Park Farmers' Market are both closed.   The Christian Farmers' Market down in Corning (operated by the Assemblies of God) has closed.    The Paradise Farmers' Market has closed as has Yuba City.   The Chico THURSDAY Night (the 'students') Market has now closed and the Chico WEDNESDAY morning (East Street Mall) Market has also shuttered up its stalls.

This leaves us with the Redding Market and the ever popular Chico Saturday morning Farmers' Market....speaking of the Saturday Chico Farmers' Market - vendors PLEASE get there early enough to set up....this is an EXTREMELY popular Market indeed and vendor spaces are getting harder and harder to find (and NO - I'm keeping mine, thank you)...and for customers - remember that we are open come rain, snow, hail or whatever is dished up....we'll be open.   Don't forget to look for our guaranteed SAME DAY fresh brown eggs at the Chris' Egg Farm stall and remember, as always, to bring back your recyclable egg acrtons.

Eat Fresh.   Eat Well.    Support your local Farmer.   Good shopping!~~~~ Chris the Egg Man, Chris' Egg Farm
