Goat Breeding

This month I am focused on Nubian-goat breeding.

My 2011 breeding buck is experienced and gentle and does his job very well, he is almost 3 years old and he is a hunk!.

This month I am breeding 4 does, for kidding in 2012.

I will be planning on 2012 kidding season of 2 weeks apart. It can be a challenge to have all the does kid at the same time.

I have 5 beautiful bucks right now, and I am considering selling up to 3. If you are interested in a naturally-polled, pure breed Nubian buck,  a white nubian buck,  or any of the bucks I have, please call me.

During this time, milk is of limited supply. Expect delays in shipping and expect a short back-order time. Thank you for your patience.

Raw vs Cooked

Raw foods contain live enzymes needed to nourish your body's cells daily.

Every meal should consist of at least 40% raw, living food.

Even lightly steaming veggies can destroy live enzymes.

When the body is weak, it may be due to bad nutrition.

Try a juice fast for 3 days using organic and raw vegetables and fruits.

Instead of filtered, pre-bottled juices, try fresh squeezed juice.

1. Recipe for salad in a glass, using a juicer:

ENERGIZE and Juice: 1 carrot - 1/2 apple - 1/2 cucumber - 1 tomato - 1/2 celery stick.

2. Recipe for breakfast smoothie, using a blender:

1/2 cup of yogurt, 1 tabelspoon honey and 1 raw egg. blend gently on low, for 5 seconds.

My lunch today:

grass fed, pastured heritage steak tar-tar

raw, organic broccoli dipped in yogurt

raw, organic chopped  spinach drenched in fresh squeezed lemon juice and topped with chopped raw garlic

1 tall glass of raw, unpasteurized, non-homogenized goat milk

1 organic sliced apple w/skin

Marys Raw Goats Milk Farm - Heritage Chickens

I am currently working on getting Certified Naturally Grown, certification for my heritage chickens and milking goats, as well as the natural eggs and raw milk they produce.

The goats have a large barn with a large free range area where they enjoy ranging, playing and climbing. Currently the chickens reside with goats.

I am in the process of setting up another large barn which I have close to the goat barn, to house the chickens in 2009.

Every day after I am finished with milking and collecting the colorful eggs, we play "Jail Break", we, meaning the chickens, roosters the goats as well as myself, roam all over the 5 acres for most of the day.

They try to help me do work around the property, they actually do help, by grazing on the wild flowers, and natural vegetation.

My poultry are fed an all natural certified organic feed, as well as scratch and munch on the Alfalfa when the goats are not looking. The goats are fed an all natural certified organic grass feed and they really like to get into the poultry feed, when I am not looking.

It really is very joyuss to grow these beauties and watch them mature.
