We are excited to be able to share with you some of the wonderful things we have going on at Dragonfly Farms. We have our first offering of grass finished beef. We have raised and finished two 18 month old steers. One is a red angus and the other a limousine. We currently still have two quarters available. Our herd of Belted Galloway are doing great. The three calves born this spring are growing fast. We had one female, that we will keep and two males that will become steers to finish for beef. We are also purchasing two weanling beltie steers this winter, so we are real excited to be able to have beltie beef soon. Our herd has been bred by a Red Angus bull, that should produce a great cross for our pastures. We plan to keep Victor, the bull, for a couple of years and then get a beltie bull to grow our herd.

We do have a flock of wild and crazy laying hens, but their egg production is not surpassing our current demand.

Our equine business is going well. We have some wonderful horses boarding with us. Some are older and retired, and a couple are with us for a shorter stay, all under care from our expert equine veterinarian, Katherine.

We have some great plants still available. Winter hardy pansies, snapdragons, ornamental kale and perennials. We are really looking forward to the next growing season.

Thank you all for your support. Please come out for a visit (call first, of course). Let us know what we can do for you. Bruce and Katherine 804.512.9944
