Raised Beds

Welcome to our first Harmony Harvest Blog entry!

We have been battling wet weather all Fall and decided to put in raised beds to grow our Fall and Winter crops.

We completed the first one almost a month ago and got it planted, and it is growing beautifully!  The second and third are well on their way, and we hope to finish this week.  We have organic transplants coming this week and plan on planting them into the raised beds this week.

We also put in a small bed for quick growing greens like micro greens.  They are planted with micro greens now, and we will build 2 more of these smaller beds this weekend.

Also, we are starting our fruit orchard and perennial gardens.  I will give specific updates as we plant, but coming in January we have fruit trees including apples, peaches, pears, figs, possibly orange and cherry if I can find any varieties for out region.  We will also have raspberries, blueberries, rhubarb, asparagus, and artichoke, if all goes well.

Big work day today!  Better get started!
