2010 Winter CSA Information

The Heide-Way Farm Winter CSA Program

Information Paper

The Heide-Way Farm Winter CSA is simply a way to extend the opportunity to purchase fresh, locally-grown produce past the end of the farmers’ market season.  With our CSA, “members” pay a $25.00 membership fee and a $100.00 deposit to reserve their membership in the program.  The deposit will then be applied toward the member’s first $100.00 worth of purchases of fresh produce in November and December 2010.  Unlike most CSAs, you will not receive a “share” of the harvest each week, but rather, you can purchase only those items that interest you each week just like you do now at the farmers’ market, but on a weekly, pre-ordered basis on our website.

Distribution of the produce will occur much like it does now at the farmers’ market.  We will meet members from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. each Saturday in November and until the 18th of December in the parking lot on the north side of Cico Park.  This is the current location of Manhattan’s Wednesday farmers’ market.

If you are interested in participating in the Winter CSA Program, or need more information to decide, please email or call me and I will forward a copy of the 2010 application and contract for your review and completion.  If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact us at 785-388-2104.

Again, we thank you for your interest in the Winter CSA and we look forward to being “Your Source for Farm-Fresh Produce” all the way until Christmas!  And as always, thank you for supporting your local farmers!
