gourmet food for the northern locavore[ Member listing ]

It may be 30 below here in northern Minnesota, but it's always summer when we are making up seed lists. We"ll be starting seeds soon, and we are also thinking ahead to the two new high tunnels/hoops we will have up this spring. That will make a total of 6 unheated hoops between our two market gardens. They are real season extenders, making it possible for us to grow both early and late.
Our two gardens are planted and tended by John and Lissa (King Gardens) and Grant and Christy (the Neighborhood Gardeners). We all have years and years of gardening experience. It's the typical situation of an obsession just expanding until we needed an outlet for all those extra veggies, fruits, and flowers!
We'll keep you posted as the seasons pass and tell you a bit about our growing experience, let you know what veggies and fruits are ready, and how our high tunnel/hoops are doing . And we'll pass on some great recipes for all your produce.
Meanwhile, keep warm and eat your vegetables!
Christy, Grant, Lissa, and John
