Back in the greenhouse after a long winter

Well, we're back in the green house starting our plants for the 2009 season!! It's been a long winter..the warm temps in the greenhouse are very welcoming.  We've started well over 1000 plants, most are already sprouting.  Tomatoes, both heirloom & 'regular', Broccoli, every color of bell pepper they put out, cabbage, carrots.  More everyday.  The melons & cukes will direct sow to the ground.  An orchard with multiple varieties of fruit is in the planning process.  More asparagus will go in this spring.  An all new Brambles patch will be added.  Day Nuetral strawberries will join our existing patches. Whew!! We're gonna be busy at Amos Family Produce!!

We're also in the planning stages of creating a 'buying club' - sort of like a CSA, we're hoping to have a community meeting in a couple of weeks for that to see if there is interest.  Not sure how it's going to go over in our small town. Time will tell....
