Please check out our website, as we've now added a "CONTEST" page. We will be having a monthly drawing beginning in January.
We have a litter of pigs that will be ready for you to tag and adopt beginning January 4th. It will be first come, first serve. These animals will be ready for your freezers in May. We will be attending the 'bred gilt' sale in Harrisburg on the 2nd to bring in new blood lines and have the quality animals for all the 4H youth who buy pigs from us.
We also have several steers that are growing very well and need adopted. Where pigs take only 6 months to raise to market weight, beef cows take 18 to 24 months. When you adopt one of our animals to raise for you, you have the opportunity to pay for the pork or beef as the animal grows and do not have a HUGE purchase all at one time. You can pay over time while the animal grows. It helps us with feed costs and helps you by paying a litlle at a time and give you the all natural quality everyone desires.
Many of our customers choose to share the costs and meat with family and friends. This seems to be the most popular advantage.
Our brown egg production has slowed with the winter months, but our new hens will be begin laying in March, so we should be caught up on orders by then. We sure do appreciate your patience.
The seed catalogs are already arriving here at the house, so in a month or so, Blaine and I will be setting aside time to get all the seeds ordered for the coming season. If you have a particular varitety of plant you would like to see us grow, PLEASE be sure to let us know. We aim to please !! We would have to know before March 1st.
Milk orders have been pretty steady and you have seen the last of EGGNOG this year. The new flavor will be posted on our website as soon as we know what it will be , sometime in January. My guess would be Strawberry or Orange. The wonderful Chocolate is available all year.
