Welcome to the first entry for the Dinihanian Farm/ YourCSA.com blog.
We are just getting out of the "chute", so to speak, with planning the new season for 2014. Evan and I have been working hard making our farm plan for this year's gardens. Our plan is to have the best and most amazing gardens around this season.
Heirloom and specialty vegetables and those tried and true favorites will stand side by side in our field this year. Varieties with exotic names and histories to match, tomatoes that define the very idea of delicious. Rainbow colors in things like beets, carrots, chard and more. Fragrant herbs and gorgeous flowers. The possibilities are simply endless and we can't wait to get started growing all of these amazing varieties for our customers. I could not be any more excited about what's happening here in 2014.
In addition to CSA this year (and we ARE taking sign ups for that now, link to website below), we will be attending several farmer's markets in the area. Don't want to announce that until we are all set with the final schedule, but that will be coming very soon. If I have anything to do with it, and I have a lot to do with it, this will be the very best year we have ever had here!
Oh, and if you read this and you have any interest, the Farm store isn't open but we still have things like eggs, beef and honey for sale in the office. If you call ahead, we can arrange for you to pick up those items. Pricing and availability on that stuff is posted at the website www.yourcsa.com
