I love my hens

I love my hens!  But they are all grounded to their coop for a few days while I cover my newly scratched up seeded beds with bird netting.

My fall seeding was successful, the seedlings emerging and the weather warm to get all off to a good start.  Turnips, lettuce, beets, carrots, onions, chard, all the fall goodies, planted and growing and all the creatures minding their own business.  Except some rogue chickens!  They popped over the fence and discovered the tender emerging seedlings and promptly scratched and pecked and had a great dinner.  Luckily my peas weren't up yet, they escaped!

Let us see if they can navigate around the bird netting.  Boy, won't they be surprised!
