Hello, Here I am again, after many months, letting everyone know who reads these blogs that we are working with a farm to bring you local milk, eggs, meat, yogurt, apples, bread, etc All of these items will not be included our C.S.A. program but, will be offered for sale and we will be taking weekly orders for the items listed on our page. We get them of Saturday so, we will have to have your orders in on Tuesday, or you will not be able to get these items from us. We will be talking with other farms, farmers to see if we can bring you other items as well. So, be on the lookout, you don't know what will be next. Till next time, David Brown

Well, it's about to begin a new year and we here at Steps Victory Garden want to thank all those who came out and supported us in our first CSA program, it was a success and we have expanded and moved to a new location, here in WV. We have already started the fund raising on microgiving, kiva and other websites and even beginning to raise money for several grants. We are going all green, and going all organic and doing so much more this year than we had ever thought possible. We are also going to be networking with other organizations in the area and other places to grow out of the traditional box we were in to one that we believe will be a blessing to others and to the community as well. We want to donate some of the fruits and vegetables to the local food banks/pantries, as well as donate some more to local needy people in the area and then to sell some of our produce at our farm stand here at the garden and then, as time permits to sell some more of the produce at the local farmers markets to raise awareness and to raise funds for our organization. We are also considering selling eggs, chickens, milk, goat, sheep and cow as well. Once we get the grants, we want to begin to look for at least 100 acres of land and go totally green. Wind, solar, hydro electric, bio-diesel, hydrogen, hydroponics and of course all organic. So, keep in touch and keep looking for what we will be doing new as well as when we are getting things rolling in the new year.

Well, this is my first blog, on here and I am happy to be able to share and let everyone know, who will read this about us, and things that is on the mind. STEPS Victory Garden, started in 2010 but, in reality it began in 2009. We began late in the fall of that year, basically to do a test plot before the frost came and we had small yet, not too bad of a harvest that year. This year we went all out and even put up a small greenhouse as well. I would like to get a 30'W x 50'L Greenhouse to be able to grow all year round and keep all of our customers even happier. Am looking into hydroponics to grow a large portion of veggies, except the root crops, that will still need to be be in the soil. We are also getting ready to be certified organic...and we are really looking forward to that! We have many varieties of vegetables growing this year and they are all doing well. We are a C.S.A., in Winchester, VA, near Kernstown. As soon, as this first crop is done we will be planting a fall crop of veggies, with some more healthy veggies. I will be back in a few to talk about some more things. So, till then, Peace!
