The market is OPEN

The market is open!  You wont believe the changes that have been made.  I could go into endless detail here, but I think you should come down and see for yourself.  A big congratulation to all of the vendors.  Everyone worked very hard to bring the community the best market around and they really have.  We have Organic in season produce, grown right on the farm.  Fresh locally made baked goods (using the best ingredients around)  Grass fed meats, raw cheeses,  raw milk, locally made yogurt, homemade ice cream, arts and crafts by some very talented folks, Homemade chemical free soaps, lotions, laundry soaps, ect.....And new to the market this year we have prepared foods.  You can come for some of the best Belgain waffles around and enjoy them at one our bistro tables. With your waffle you can also sit and enjoy a large glass of freshly juiced orange juice from the juice bar.

Hope to see you soon...................

Special thanks to Mark Landis, Greg Gerhart and all who put in endless hours to make this market a success...........

Time to Order your Heirloom seedsf

"The federal govenment has sponsored research that has produced a tomato that is perfect in every respect, except that you can't eat it.  We should make every effort to make sure this disease, often referred to as "progress",  doesn't spread."  Andy Rooney

It is time to plan the yearly garden.  About a year ago we moved our family of 9 (now 10) to Berks county farm country.  One of our first experiences with the locals here, was meeting a wonderful family who having known us less then 24hours.....Loaded up their rotatiller, their heirloom seeds, their 3 kids, and a whole lotta energy.  We spent the afternoon into the evening tilling, planting, getting to know each others families, and feasting.  What a wonderful memory.

This year things are a bit different, we are a bit more organized (kinda). We took time to order heirloom seeds, and plan out our yearly garden.

We have so much to gain from planting a garden.  So get ready, make a plan, order some seed, and prepare to get your hands dirty.  Put something extra in your garden that your elderly neighbor might enjoy.  Grab a kid from next door (well maybe don't grab them) invite them to help in the garden.  Children thrive outdoors and it gets them moving, gets them out from in front of the t.v. Helps them feel as if they have a purpose, makes them feel loved, and teaches them how things work.

Those who are generous are blessed, for they share their bread with the poor....Proverbs 22:9

See ya next time...Now get to work
