Well! Here we are- our first winter at Blackberry Creek Farm. So far- mother nature has worked fairly with us as we make preparations here on the farm for the planting season rapidly approaching, Although the late season ground moisture kept us from some tilling operations it allowed us to spend some time renovating some of our livestock barn area to welcome some of our critters to the farm, We now have Benny and June our potbelly pigs- And June just gave birth to eight piglets- Then we have Gracie and Oreo, They are pigmy goats,Our new website will have pics posted soon, As you have probably noticed our first greenhouse units have begun construction on the farm and are scheduled for completion in March of 2012,
Well it's been several weeks since my last entry, Junes babies are growing fast and are eating hard food now and entertaining every one that visits the barn, My friend Eric and myself are making great progress on the greenhouse construction thanks to Mother Nature and the farm gods for blessing us with this incredibly warm winter,
