Live Music, Chef and Canning Demos and Fresh, Local Products June 25

Shop for everything from raspberries, blueberries and tomatoes to goat cheese, daylilies and lavender at the Williamsburg Farmers Market. The Williamsburg Lodge will be at the Chef Tent at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. and Two Girls & a Hammer will provide techniques and recipes for canning salsa. The Delvers will entertain from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

 
 

Father's Day Specials, Live Chef Demos, Kids Activities and More June 18

Shop for Father’s Day at the Williamsburg Farmers Market. Knife sharpening available.  Blueberries, raspberries and tomatoes are ripe and daylilies and lavender are in bloom. The Blue Talon Bistro will be Chef Tent at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.  Prentice Creek Partners will entertain from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. WHRO will have a display with giveaways and kids activities.

 
 

Recycling, Canning Demonstrations and More June 11

8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Blueberries, carrots, artisan chocolate and bison will be among the offerings at the Williamsburg Farmers Market. The City of Williamsburg will have a recycling exhibit and a canning demonstration with Two Girls & a Hammer will be at the Chef Tent at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.  Macaroni Kid will provide activities for kids and Karen Trump will entertain from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

 
 

Healthy Smoothie Recipes

Berret's Seafood Restaurant demonstrated these recipes at the Williamsburg Farmers Market Chef Tent on May 7, 2011.

 

Energy Smoothie

1 Apple, cut up

1 Tbsp Honey

1 Rounded Tbsp Peanut Butter

1/2 Cup Fat-free Yogurt

1/4 Cup Chocolate Whey Powder

1/2 Cup Fat-free Milk

2-3 Ice Cubes (optional)

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend for 30 seconds. 

Enjoy.

 

Refreshing Smoothie

6 Strawberries

1/2 Cup Blueberries

1/2 Cup Apple Juice

1/2 Apple, cut up

1 Tbsp Honey

1/4 Cup Vanilla Whey Powder

1/4 Cup Wheat Germ or Oatmeal

1/2 Cup Yogurt

2-3 Ice Cubes (optional)

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend for 30 seconds.
