Tracking Trailer Overhaul

Today I am finishing up the mechanical repairs of one our farm trailers. The new paint was applied yesterday and it really looks nice! We have two of these trailers we will be using around the Bountiful Blessings Farm to bring vegetables in from the field. Last year we carried everything by hand from the field to the barn where we got the veggies ready for market.  These are tracking utility trailers which feature a “following axle” that steers opposite the front to allow for a tighter turning radius. This “following axle” allows several carts to be connected and follow the same path around a corner. I can't wait to put these into action. No more lifting baskets of produce all the way across the field. I am sure everyone involved will be happy once these are completed.

This trailer is similar to ours. Ours will have a wooden top.

The wagon pictured here is similar to ours, but ours will have a wooden top. I really can't imagine how much time and labor will be save with these wagons. Even during the planting season we can put our tools on the wagon as we work out in the field. In fact, I'm guessing that if I had a blanket and pillow, I could take a nap on the back of this baby. (JUST KIDDING!)
