So much rain the worms are drowning

April 15... Just a few days ago I stepped into the plastic covered hoop house protecting our crop of transplants for the farm and noticed 3-4 dozen worms of all sizes laying still on top the hard, muddy ground and not a one showing the tiniest of wiggles. There's been so much rain this spring the ground is  saturated and this last rain left no where for these little, fertilizing, aerators to go.

Planting has been delayed by 2 weeks but I still feel like it's going to be a very productive year. We'll be planting today before the rain hits again this afternoon!!!
