This is a hard year for many to be thankful. And, for myself, this year has been one of ups and downs, but in many years past it was much worse, so I always ask myself what is good in my life and what have I to be thankful for. And it always comes down to things which, for the most part, have no monetary value.
I’m thankful for:
My darling Deane, who is kind, honest, loving and tolerant (mostly :-) of my foibles, and with whom I can have a discussion on any topic, including sensitive ones.
My family who are always like friends.
My friends who are always like family.
My wonderful gardens.
My two remaining kitties.
That the election is finally over!
That many people still care enough about each other, to try and make a difference.
And I am also thankful for the growing intolerance for intolerance, and the willingness of many to confront it and deal with it humanely.
And I’m thankful that I’m still able to garden and create new recipes (or enjoy old favorites) in my kitchen, to share with family, friends and fans!
I wish everyone a wonderful and bountiful Thanksgiving and Holiday Season, surrounded by those who love them!
