This is a Blue podded pea that is great fresh as a pod pea in a salad, or fresh pea or as a dry pea. Peas are one of the longest grown vegetable by man kind. Mostly grown in Holland by the real Dutch. My strain comes from the PA Dutch (Germans) some say Mennonites saw this a hardy pea and sent it to Mennonites in the New World, But with many protestant families (like mine) leaving Europe by way of Holland, this must have been a great area of seed distribution.
Back to the pea, this plant grows well over 100 days 55 days to peas. The flower is so wonderful (see store front page picture) and it sit on grayish silver foliage.
We grow and sell our own seeds and then turn them into nursery products, which we sell and then all that becomes produce.
