The Bluebird Hibiscus or Rose of Sharon ~ this beautiful, low-maintenance perennial shrub will provide many months of bright color
Your order is protected with the LocalHarvest money back guarantee.
The Bluebird Hibiscus or Rose of Sharon is a temperate-zone cousin of the spectacular hibiscus varieties that grow in Hawaii and other tropical climes. It makes for a glorious, easy-care hedge or border, sporting 3-4" rich blue flowers with burgundy centers, from midsummer until hard frost!
This glamorous shrub will grow to about 5-7' in height, and requires no pruning, as it remains very compact.
Start in pots, then plant the fast-growing seedlings 5-8' apart in full sun or partial shade.
In Spring 2011, we plan to offer seedlings in addition to these packets of 25+ seeds.
Fun fact: okra is a member of the hibiscus family, hence its gorgeous blossoms!
