Bluebird Market began as a vertical part of the Bluebird Victory Garden, a community gardening effort in Thomaston Georgia. The market spotlights local growers, bakers and artisans. "They paved paradise and put up a parking lot" inspired us to reclaim the old R. C. Cola Building Parking Lot and develop a community garden. Over 4 inches of gravel were excavated to grow vegetables, fruits and herbs. Bluebird Market is open year round Saturdays 8 am until noon at the Historic Downtown Train Depot in Thomaston, Georgia , 218 N. Center Street In December 2010, we received a greenhouse grant gift by Griffin Area Resource Center and invite you to grow with us. (more...)
