Bogatyr originated in Moscow and is one of the spicier garlics when raw. The flavor does not linger as long as some others, which makes it good for recipes using raw cloves, such as pesto or hummus. Fat cloves are nice for roasting with a pleasing garlic flavor. Bulbs generally contain 5-7 cloves.

We are committed to sustainable, organic growing methods, without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. Our northern climate is especially suitable for the hardneck varieties we grow, which have shown to be vigorous during our cold winters and successfully emerge through a thick layer of mulch in spring.
Garlic is graded by size with the largest bulbs selling first. One pound of garlic contains from 5 to 10 or more bulbs, depending on the size. We sell only the highest quality - if we wouldn't plant it, we won't sell it!
