Boxed Organics

Why Boxed Organics?

I want to eat more healthy foods but I don't know where to begin.... I am interested in buying local but I don't know where to find affordable produce. I want to avoid chemicals, pesticides, herbicides and GMO produce but how do I do that on a budget? I want to cook but I don't know how to prepare fresh vegetables and fruit. I want my kids to eat more fruits and vegetables but don't know how to get them to. I don't have time to find fresh ingredients.

All these problems have the same solution: Boxed Organics in Montclair, NJ

What We Do

By joining an organic CSA/Local Buying Club We support ourselves, our health and our environment. We promote healthy eating habits for ourselves and our families. We keep small farmers on their farms and in their homes. We encourage more farmers to switch to organic farming as a viable choice which also directly benefits their health and the health of farm workers. We get to eat delicious seasonal food. We foster local community. For all the above reasons we are a part of the Sustainability Solution. For every positive decision we make we directly reduce impact on negative ones. Our decisions help reduce fuel emissions from transporting produce long distances, help reduce the amount of toxic herbicides and pesticides used as demand for conventional produce is reduced, help reduce long term health issues and related burdens and costs by promoting healthy eating habits. What We Get

Every other week we take delivery of the best freshest produce from a variety of local farmers. By working with a number of small farmers in NJ, NY and PA we can ensure excellent variety and quality in our box of food. We send an e-newsletter containing the week's items, recipes and helpful hints, more info is on our website.

In addition we periodically offer delicious optional add ons including, but not limited to: Organic Dried Fruit, Organic Granola Organic, locally grown and milled flour Organic, locally grown dried beans Locally grown, harvested and canned jams and jellies Locally, grown, harvested and pressed juices and more....
