Our farm started out as "Pick your own" berry business in 1994. We have since added several greenhouses in which we produce heirloom tomato bedding plants for sale to the public. We also raise heirloom slicing tomatoes, our own strain of lettuce, cucumbers, peppers, and Swiss Chard for early spring sales. We also sell canning tomatoes and various vegetables raised in our fields. Our berries include summer/fall red raspberries, blueberries, fall strawberries, & grapes.
We currently sell our products at the farm location, the two Lakes Area Grower's Market locations in the Brainerd area, and the Nisswa Farmer's Market. Also sold at the markets are our jams and jellies made from produce grown at the farm and homemade by us. Our heirloom bedding plants are also sold at our local Brainerd Ace Hardware. The local Crow Wing Food Co-op in Brainerd carries our produce.
We are John & Ruth Jansen and would love to have you come to pick some berries, pick out some fresh produce, or just visit our peaceful field of goodies and observe some of our interesting growing ideas.
Come enjoy the experience of picking your own berries and the luxury of knowing they are fresh along with other FRESH country produce. Experienced gardeners who want to observe different methods of growing will enjoy a tour of the pit greenhouses and strawberries on trellises. Please call for hours, appointments for picking, and tours. Hope to see you soon!
