Again one of our farm's pure bred Large Black's has been picked to take part in the upcoming Cochon 555 event and we are thrilled by this news :)
We pride ourselves on raising some of the best tasting pork, turkeys and duck that can be found for sale and our many repeat Chef customers agree "Brambly raises great meat".
We are surprised at how quickly our small farm has expanded into a bustling hub for mother nature. Initially in our pig operation we had only three sows and 'longfellow' our boar--- all large blacks, a heritage breed, but with some luck we have obtained four Berkshire gilts and a breeding pair of Tamworths and our latest arrival is a little GOS gilt who arrived here last Summer from western Mass. So now we are able to breed and cross breed our diverse parent stock to produce fantastic combinations of meat marbling and flavors. And when the multicolorful different combos of piglets arrive here ... we spend the next 7 - 8 months raising and feeding with care. Sorry but you will not find bland white pigs here .......
Again all the pigs here on Brambly Farms are listed by the ALBC as heritage breeds. All of our animals are fed only natural grains and are free to roam and forage on several acres of grass pasture and our stand of red oaks. We are not sure what gives our pork its distinctive flavor but our many repeat customers are a testament to its quality.
We have a large flock of Muscovy ducks from which we sell duck eggs and meat. Because our two daughters love animals and are involved in the day to day running of the farm we do not sell foie gras. We usually have pet bunnies available. Talk to Erin and Tara for bunnies and be prepared to be quizzed on how you plan to care for any bunnies which they've raised.

Orders are being taken for half and whole pigs which will be available Now through May 2012
Our laying hens have decided to keep working through the Winter .... and for this we are very thankful.

Farmer Ted & family were very freindly and informative. We love what they are doing. The animals are well cared and it seems like a wonderful place. We ordered 1/2 pig and cannot wai tto get it! Looking forward to going back and feeding the pigs acorns.
