Our Branches Raspberry Flower honey is a unique, limited-production honey gathered from hives located within California's coastal raspberry crop It possesses a mellifluous texture, straw color and floral scented overtones, In this rare instance, the honey tastes like the fruit of the plant with a distinctive fresh raspberry finish that is both pleasantly sweet and tart. It is wonderful to use where the nuances of berry flavor will be most enhanced - Stir into plain yogurt or cottage cheese, use to flavor berry tarts and pies, drizzle over freshly made vanilla or cinnamon ice cream, or simply savor a spoonful!
Bees produce honey from the nectar of blooming plants, but the nectar produced by one flower will be different than that of another flower. Katz and Company seeks out distinctive California flora that yield mono-floral honeys with the aroma, taste, texture and color reflective of their particular flower. We currently collect four mono-floral honeyss found in the diverse terrain of California: Raspberry Flower, Citrus Blossom, Black Button Sage, Wild Blackberry Flower, and we also collect a Spring Range Wildflower Honey from the lower Sierra foothills.
All of our Branches honeys are gathered directly from hives and packed un-pasteurized, thus maintaining the multitude of health benefits of honey that are often lost in overly processed commercial honey, such as overheating to prevent crystallization and make it easier to pack.
All Branches Honeys are certified Kosher.
