Brazos Valley Farmers' Market

The Brazos Valley Farmers Market was founded many years ago by a small group of local producers who wanted to bring local produce to local people. The goals in those early days were the same as the goals today: to create venues where local farmers can connect directly with Brazos Valley consumers, to build community in an urban setting, and to provide public education on regional farming, gardening and food preparation.

And remember, the farmers' market is more than fresh, local food... It's a community event; a place to gather, meet new friends, and catch up with loved ones. Come see us soon and discover the wonderful world of local food.

The change in the BVFM in a few short years has been amazing! Not to mention the nonstop smiles provided for FREE by local farmers. It is my favorite place to shop locally and one time they let me wear broccoli on my head. It doesn't get any better than that.

The people are welcoming and extremely personable. The produce is always fresh, vibrant, and delectable. I can always find great vegetables and fruits to use to create healthy, and delicious meals.

So happy to see BVFM prospering and growing ! The more we shop the more we encourage the local growers to participate. We also encourage the local farming industry to expand into healthful and successful ventures, and in the end, that is GREAT for all of us!
