Specifically, our mission is: The Bread Riot cultivates a thriving local economy by facilitating a supply of locally produced food, utilizing sustainable farming practices and focusing on whole-life issues, education, and environmental concern. Winter Harvest sign-up is coming soon!
Winter Harvest allows local farmers to provide Rowan County consumers with a source of produce, meats, dairy and other items through the winter months. The harsh winter this year hurt normally reliable cold-weather greens, but the occasional lack of fresh produce was made up with fresh whole wheat bread, butter, ice cream, cheeses, sausage, flour, and other items.
