Briarwoods Farm is a fifth-generation family farm that produces naturally-grown fruit (including strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and raspberries), vegetables, and herbs. Small batches of jams, jellies, and other fruit products (including apple butter from our ancient apple trees) and fresh eggs are also available upon occasion. Sorry, no pick-your-own.
We still have tomatoes, zucchini, tatsoi, maruba santoh bok choy, Tendergreen mustard, some kale, chard and beet greens.
Celebrating 100 years April 2013!
We are participating on a weekly basis in the East Granby Farmer's Market, 3 Turkey Hills Road (Rte 20) East Granby CT on Wednesdays from 3pm til 6pm until Oct 1 2014. After that date, please come to the farm (call or email first to make sure we're around).
Many crops have been delayed again this year and harvests have been reduced, but we still have late-season tomatoes and peppers as well as a second planting of squash, and hopefully will into mid- to late October. Market ends Oct 1, but you can always email or call after that for availability. Asian greens, chard, and kale should be available into November.
In the cul de sac at intersection of Partridge Lane and Briarwood Road, Barkhamsted. Hours vary - look for signs or call for availability.
