Broadened Horizons is a permaculture-based teaching farm focused on low impact, sustainable, organic food production, alternative energy use, and a comprehensive, multi-faceted rainwater collection system used for irrigation and land restoration activities. We maintain a small diverse flock of heritage breed chickens and sell eggs year round. We keep a few hives of honey bees and sell raw, unfiltered wildflower honey. Raw milk shares now available.
Natural, chemical free grown vegetables are available in season and include tomatoes, cucumbers, melons, leafy greens, sweet and chili peppers, garlic and onions. The farm hosts individual and group educational tours, as well as one day and advanced weekend, hands on workshops, covering topics ranging from rainwater collection, green building with recycled materials, organic gardening, to co-creative partnerships for the purpose of soil and water restoration activities.
