Although we are not an organic farming operation, we believe sustainable agriculture is a goal that we must strive to achieve. Brook Farm is making every effort not to degrade our farmland or water resources. Urban area tree leaves are applied to the soil each year to enhance soil organic matter and productivity. Cover crops are being grown in rotation with our vegetables. The farm has a seven thousand watt photovoltaic renewable energy system operating to meet a significant share of our electric energy requirements. More renewable energy capacity is planned.

Brook Farm grows a wide range of high quality annual flowers, seasonal fresh vegetables and watermelon, gourds, ornamental corn, dried vegetables, and bagged popcorn kernels. We offer ultra fresh produce at reasonable prices. We sell weekly at the Woodstock, Illinois Farmers Market on Tuesdays & Saturdays and the Harvard, Illinois Farmers Market on Saturdays May-October. Farm stand sales begin mid-summer. Come see us. We'd love to tell you about the farm and the joy of growing vegetables.
