Citron Light Syrup - This is a light syrup one would use for flavoring beverages and is "to die for" on lemon cake, banana bread, poppy seed cake. Leaves a very smooth, clean, lingering flavor on the pallet. Also used for flavoring martinis and other beverages. Our largest commercial customers for this product are 5 star restaurants (zest), microbreweries (infusions) and cake companies (they drizzle cakes and other bakery items).
Also known by the name Fingered Citron. A top-shelf cooking item for chefs. It's zest is felt superior to even the Meyer lemon.
The photo does not do them justice - most are taken aback by their size and varied shapes. Stores for a month in the refrigerator if you clean well, and keep them in a zip lock bag.
Shave for salads, add it to anything lemon(t, Shaker Lemon Pie,, marmalade, tagines, candied peel. Delicious, rare and special.
