This listing is for a 4.25-ounce skein of a beautiful hand-dyed merino yarn in shades of green and black -- it makes me think of the Wicked Witch of the West! I use only chemical-free food grade dyes so that your fiber is not only safe, but is undamaged by harsh chemicals -- no phosphates, copper, or harsh mordants. Once dyed, the fiber is washed several times in hot water with all natural soap and air dried.
This merino is super fine at 21.5 microns and is unbelievably soft! This beautiful yarn is handspun in the "thick and thin" style in a 2-ply. It is 4.25 ounces and measures approximately 63 yards and is a super bulky weight at 4 - 6 WPI. Use extra large knitting needles (size US 13+) or crochet hook (US size Q+) to make a unique and beautiful project! Also makes wonderful locks for doll hair, dreadlocks, or wigs. The 4th photo shows the variation in thickness of the yarn and compares it to the thickness of a standard pencil.
This yarn has been stored in a smoke- and pet-free environment.
Hand wash in cold water, lay flat to dry.
