Busy Bee Farm has been in business since 1981. We are the only local u-pick it in Pittsboro for blueberries, blackberries. We also have a honey operation selling local, pure honey. We also grow tomatoes, red potatoes, bell peppers and banana peppers.

Three thornless varities of blackberries (Apache, Arapaho, Navaho), five varities of blueberries (Tiff Blue, Garden Blue, Powder Blue climax and premier) that are mixed, which makes for a better overall flavor). Our rows are all mulched, no weeds, no grass, and no ticks--this makes for pleasant and easy pickin'! We are wheelchair accessable also.

Children welcome (must be weighed before pickin'). Just kidding.

So c'mon out and have a good time! You can have a picnic under our very large poplar tree if you choose.

We're the only u-pick for blueberries/blackberries in Pittsboro! We are closed Wednesday and Thursday. We are open Friday thru Tuesday from 7am till dark. We furnish containers for you to pick in but please bring containers to take your berries home in. I hope to be adding more produce this comming year. Here at the farm you will be able to see Eastern Wild turkeys, guineas, peacocks and probably a Whitetail deer.
