The Cain Farm at College Hill was mainly a tobacco and cattle farm until the late 70's. That's when my father-in-law, Bill Cain, now deceased, started growing vegetables and selling them at the Lexington Farmers Market. My husband, Jimmy, took over the care of the farm after his father's death. He now grows corn, beans, potatoes, tomatoes, squash, okra, cucumbers, peppers and etc. instead of tobacco. This is the first year that we have sold in Madison Co. But we thought it would be nice to help the community here, instead of traveling to Lexington. Visit our stand in the Lowe's parking lot on the EKU By-Pass Tuesdays and Saturdays 8am to 12 noon.
