Yellow and orange calendua seed, which produces vibrant blooms in the summer. Lower growing plant. Can be used in borders, and the flower can be dried to use in crafts. An easier plant to grow.

The flower contains an oil, and can be used in herbal remdies. We dry ours,and use them in soaps.

Calendula grows best in prepared soil,and full sun. It will do well in almost any soil, and semi-shade as well. The seeds will be shipped in 30 per packet with planting instructions.

Cultural Requirements:

Soil:will grow in most any prepared soil.
Propagation / Germination:Sow seeds after all danger of frost. Prepare soil, and place seeds in 1/4 to 1/2 depth inch of soil. Tamp the soil to cover the seeds. When seedlings emerge they can be thinned. Only water if conditions are dry.
Spacing:Can be thinned as seedlings 2-4 inches if desired.
Sun:partial shade to full sun.
Water:only water when there is a prolonged dry period.
Pests and Diseases:none known
