Farm-Fresh Eggs! There's nothing quite like it! The rich flavor, the bright yellow-orange yolk, the beautiful shell! But alas; not all eggs are the same. You can purchase eggs from the supermarket that "claim" to be farm-fresh, or from free-ranging chickens, but don't let them fool you!
Here at Campagnola Farms, our chickens have the run of the place! There are no enclosed pens for my flock. They come and go where and when they please, going inside their chicken coop to roost only at night. My happy, healthy chickens produce eggs which are actually healthier for you. Recent testing completed in 2007 by Mother Earth News has found that, compared to commercial eggs, eggs from hens raised on pasture contain:
• 1⁄3 less cholesterol
• 1⁄4 less saturated fat
• 2⁄3 more vitamin A
• 2 times more omega-3 fatty acids
• 3 times more vitamin E
• 7 times more beta carotene

Here on Campagnola Farms, we practice old-fashioned, traditional farming methods. We fertilize the land using manure from our livestock. All of our animals are either completely free-range or at the very least have access to a large amount of pasture.
We are, quite simply, a small homestead which sells only what we produce in surplus. The only piece of modern machinery we use, is an antique 1952 Ford 8n Tractor by the name of "Bessy". We don't even have a barn, instead we use a series of small out building for our animals.
