85 days. Open polinated Heirloom. Indeterm. Very large, (1 to 2 lbs.), round fruits are streaked with yellow, orange, red, and pink. Just beautiful! Has the flavor to match - sweet and juicy. Produces steadily over a long season. We were given the seed by our mailman, Mark Barton. He has been growing Candy Stripe here in the hot, humid Ozarks for quite some time. It produced better for us than Pineapple, and has a similar, sweet and juicy and fruity flavor. A winner! Germinated at 88%.
|Lifecycle:||1 (0: N/A, 1: annual, 2: perennial, 3: biennial)|
|Soil:||Adaptable. Tomatoes need phosphorous, potasium, and calcium more than nitrogen. Bonemeal is perfect. Excess nitrogen causes large plants with fewer, later fruits.|
|Propagation / Germination:||Start seeds indoors 5 to 6 weeks before last frost. Keep soil lightly moist, not wet. 77 degrees is ideal, but anywhere from 60 to 85 degrees will work.|
|Water:||Water weekly if necessary. Tomatoes appreciate a deep mulch, but wait until soil has warmed and plants are growing rapidly.|

We produce all of our own seed, unlike most seed sellers. We never purchase bulk seeds and repackage them. You can be sure that you are getting top quality, healthy, and vigorous seeds from us, and that they were produced by us on our small farm in healthy soil.
We are licensed by the State of Missouri Department of Agriculture to sell plants (license #1931) and seed (license #149045) produced by us. We exceed the Federal minimum germination standards and post our germination test results with each variety
