Canterbury Farms offers fresh, pasture raised chicken, free-range eggs, and fresh produce each Saturday, from May through October, on the Jackson County Farmers' Market in Ripley. Since our Farmers' Market season is now over for the year, our fresh eggs can be picked up at Around the Farm Store in Ripley (Lorna's off-farm job). Plump, meaty Cornish X Rock broilers are moved into portable "chicken tractors" as soon as they can live outside... usually at 3 weeks of age. Their pens are moved to fresh grass each day to allow foraging on grass, clover and weeds. They are also fed a custom-mixed feed consisting of locally grown corn, soybean meal, alfalfa meal and oats. Schedule and Location:
Jackson County Farmers' Market on the "Old" Wal-Mart Parking lot in Ripley. Every Saturday from 8 am until 1 pm.
Eggs can be purchased throughout the week, year-round, at the Around the Farm Store in Ripley.

Canterbury Farms is a small, family-owned and operated farm in Jackson County, West Virginia. Fresh eggs from free-ranging hens are available all year. Pasture-Raised Chickens are butchered every Friday through October and can be picked up Saturday mornings at the Jackson County Farmers Market in Ripley. We now have Pork! We are getting our Meat Distributors License from the WVDA and will be offering pork from the hogs raised on our farm. We will also have lamb, goat, and beef in August.
