Capella Artisan Goat Cheese was born from the desire to support local goat farmers and area creameries. Because we were unable to find the style and taste we were after in harder cheeses made with goat milk, we decided to see if we could make it happen ourselves. Both milk suppliers and cheesemakers have been doing what they do best for generations. Our goal is to make harder cheeses, made with goat milk, an Ohio specialty. All the skills needed are already here! We just needed to bring them together and let our creation speak for itself. Giving cheese buffs and connoisseurs alike, an amazing food experience is what drives Capella.
Currently, our fresh goat milk cheese line includes: Our Regal Blend we call Provouda, Applewood Smoked Provouda, Regineux Swiss, and Kyriotes Feta. In early 2011, we look forward to introducing our one of a kind Parmesan. Coming soon...goat milk butter!
