Capitol Area Growers is a grassroots neighborhood based association of growers and gardeners who collaborate with the Ag Science/Horticulture program at Capitol High School Pre-College Academy. Each season we assist and direct the students in traditional and innovative methods of growing food, building the soil and developing agri-business skills.

Some of the produce grown is sold to underwrite the cost of the program and some is distributed to the local community free of charge to disadvantaged families.

We practice organic and natural methods of farming and welcome all donations and input from other farmers and growers. One of our goals is to introduce young people to farming as a vocational options and increase the number of future farmers.
